FRUGAL HABITS THAT MAKE YOU RICH

A habit is a routine or work that one repeats regularly and then subconsciously. Some frugal habits that make you rich are the following:

  1. Get up early
  2. Change your Money Mindset
  3. Save & take risks
  4. Give your money
  5. Create a vision board
  6. Evaluate your week
  7. Spend time on personal development
  8. Have a small number of friends (or the right kind of friends)
  9. Create sales routines
  10. Do something every day

1. GET UP EARLY

Maybe you do not like this one but the fact is that the time you create in the morning often gives a much greater effect than postponing things until after lunch or later today. A good way is to find your morning routine, your own miracle morning. Of course, it would be good if we could make money when we sleep and wake up to a jingle at the checkout, but it takes a long time to build a profitable business and requires many hours of work. This also applies to so-called passive income before you make them spin.

So that extra hour in the morning can be just what gives you time to set goals for the day (you know what’s really important to get done). Even a moment of personal development fits well into a morning routine.

If you have a daytime job and run your business part-time, it is extra important to find an undisturbed time when you are alert and rested. So why not try getting up a little earlier tomorrow morning?

2. CHANGE YOUR MONEY MINDSET

By that, I mean the behaviors and habits that strengthen you with your new Money Mindset. The job of changing your Money Mindset includes loving your current situation and getting a handle on your finances. So creating routines to keep track of exactly what you need will give you more financial success.

3. SAVE AND TAKE RISKS

In a survey, 94% of the millionaires interviewed saved 20% or more of their income before becoming rich. Then they used the savings capital to invest in their dream – and take a risk. 51% of the “self-made” millionaires in the same survey, took a carefully calculated risk and invested everything. This requires a huge amount of work and research and the occasional role. But the conclusion is clear, to make money you have to invest both in yourself and in other things.

4. GIVE OF YOUR MONEY

How can I make more money by giving away money? It may sound strange but it is about creating an environment for inflow. It is also related to our six human needs. (six human needs as it is also called) When we meet our four basic needs for security, excitement/variety, being meaningful, and feeling love and belonging, then the door is opened to the need to grow as human beings and contribute. So this habit is closely related to your personal development.

So think about how you can contribute and give to others, it does not have to be in the form of money.

5. CREATE YOUR VISION BOARD

At home, there are several paintings I have made in recent years. A simple cut-and-paste exercise that holds so much power in its simplicity. But behind it lies a psychological explanation. Think about when you last changed cars. Let’s pretend you found a red Golf on the Block that suited you just right. You read used certificates and talked to others about the pros and cons, but the strangest thing is that wherever you went, you suddenly saw only red Golfs. It does not have to be a car, you can exchange it for anything. What it’s about is that when you focus your attention on something, you simultaneously sharpen your focus. This turns the brain into a target-seeking missile.

6. EVALUATE YOUR WEEK

Every Sunday I evaluate my week. Planning the week, on Sunday, as a start for focus. A routine that suits me perfectly. I avoid working on Sundays if it is not urgent, but this particular planning moment is both sacred and important to me. It gathers my thoughts for the week, it gives me feedback on what worked and what I need to change to get there. These are 5 questions that will give you success.

They work just as well in your computer, your calendar, or any other smart place where you enjoy writing. The point of them is you have to learn something by looking back before moving forward.

7. SPEND TIME ON PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Developing and replenishing knowledge is a habit that successful people have in common. Exercising your brain cells is useful no matter what age you are.

Those who have created their fortune are constantly working to get better. They read for 30 minutes every day, learn something new and spend time developing and honing their skills. They often work with a coach in some area or participate in a mastermind.

So be open to new ideas, new paths, and the opinions of others. An open mind allows you to develop and challenge yourself, which is one of the keys to success.

8. HAVE A SMALL NUMBER OF FRIENDS (OR HAVE THE RIGHT KIND OF FRIENDS)

Surrounding yourself with people who strive in the direction you yourself are heading towards is extremely important for success in your business but also for having the strength to persevere and believe in your choices and your path. I would probably like to say that many times it is absolutely crucial.

Focusing on the right things and saving your energy is also a success factor. This may mean less contact, but above all, it is important to reduce contact with those who take energy. I usually tell about a woman who had invested purposefully in major sporting achievements. During the last year before it was time, she deliberately refrained from hanging out with people who did not give her energy. She reduced her contact to a minimum and made sure that those who remained contributed positive vibes. 

9. CREATE SALES ROUTINES

If you do not sell every day, you will not get rich and achieve financial success. You may think about what you want about selling but that is exactly what separates a business from a hobby or charity. To learn how to make money, create income and find a routine that will get you a flow in your income. If you only sell when it has run out of jobs, your business will be like that famous roller coaster that many describe entrepreneurial life as.

So put your resources on marketing/sales and deliveries. As usual, the well-known 80/20 rule seems to work well here as well. 80% of your time in these areas will give you good momentum in your business and make you successful faster.

Newly started or operating part-time?

It is important to keep in mind that if you start your business alongside your employment, you may not have 40 hours per week to invest in your business. Then still stick to the 80/20 rule. If you have four hours per week, then spend 80% on marketing, sales, and deliveries. Do not get stuck in a perpetual fixation with business cards, websites, and other tasks, instead focus on what really moves you forward.

This a good question to ask when looking at your to-do list.

How much of the information you have in front of you in the coming week is aimed at selling or delivering? If it is below 80%, you must start by re-prioritizing.

10. DO SOMETHING EVERY DAY

I read my goals every day. It takes me 30 seconds and makes me keep my goals and dreams clear and distinct. And relevant, for me one of my goals suddenly does not feel as triggering and igniting as I want it to do, so I get a warning that something is not as it should be. Likewise, I make sure to do something every day that takes me forward. Regardless of whether it is 2 mm in the right direction, I’m on my way.

As usual, you choose what suits you, but I can promise that you will come a long way. The successful rarely give up. They stick to their plan until they either succeed, go bankrupt or die. Most people spend several years preparing for the realization of their dreams and they never stop fighting for them.
